Appi Kogen is a highland ski resort in the mountains of Iwate Prefecture, positioned as Tohoku's premier winter destination. Sitting at an elevation of around 900 metres in the northern Hachimantai range, Appi receives abundant dry powder snow and boasts 21 courses across varied terrain — from gentle beginner slopes to challenging mogul runs and tree-lined glades.
