Day 1 - Sacred Ise & Coastal Traditions
Welcome to Japan! Choose the starting point of your journey from Nagoya, Kyoto, or Osaka. Our staff will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point, where you will receive a set of travel necessities for this trip. After the briefing, you are ready to head out to Ise-Shima by Kintetsu Sightseeing Limited Express "Shimakaze". After arriving at Iseshi Station, take the sightseeing taxi to explore the Ise-Shima area. For lunch, enjoy a Matsusaka beef yakiniku rice bowl, made with one of Japan’s most renowned premium Wagyu beef brands, or try the local specialty, tekone-zushi (hand-kneaded sushi) and Ise Udon. <Taxi Tour Highlights> - Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks): Two sacred rocks standing in the sea, symbolizing the bond between husband and wife and traditionally connected with purification before visiting Ise Jingu. - Ise Jingu Outer Shrine: One of Japan’s most important Shinto shrines, dedicated to Toyouke Omikami, the deity of food, clothing, shelter, and industry. - Ise Jingu Inner Shrine: Japan’s most sacred Shinto shrine, dedicated to Amaterasu, the sun goddess and one of the most important deities in Japanese mythology. Day 2 - Pearls, Ama Culture & Coastal Views
Breakfast at the Hotel Today, continue your journey by sightseeing taxi and discover a new side of Ise-Shima. <Place to Visit by Sightseeing Taxi> - Shinju no Sato (Pearl Village): Discover Ise-Shima’s long tradition of pearl cultivation and enjoy a hands-on experience to learn how these beautiful pearls are made. - Satoumi-an (Ama Hut Experience): Meet the traditions of the ama, Japan’s famous female free-divers, and experience their unique coastal lifestyle while enjoying freshly prepared local seafood. - Yokoyama Observatory: Take in breathtaking views across Ago Bay, where green islands and calm blue waters create one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Ise-Shima.
