Breakfast at the Hotel After breakfast, check out and send your large luggage to Kyoto. You can explore Koyasan at your leisure. In the morning, travel from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka by Shinkansen, then take the local train from Shin-Osaka to Namba. Then, tranfer to Koyasan by limited express train and cable car. Koyasan is a mountain town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is surrounded by cedar forests and has deep ties to Japanese Buddhism. Kobo Daishi Kukai practiced asceticism here for over 1,200 years. <Recommended Sightseeing Spots> - Danjo Garan: This is the main area of Koyasan. Kyoto is the heart of Japanese culture, filled with historic temples, shrines, and beautiful streets.
